Famille de la Harpe
Slt!
I arrived at the Lausanne train station and the Swiss counterpart was late!!! Can you imagine! Haha. But I sent all the kids off with their respective host families and everything seems to be going well. There was one girl who was petrified of her host mom because she looks like a 50 yr old chain smoker who likes to party. I couldn't help but find that a little funny.
I am staying with the de la Harpe family. They are farmers and they have a small vinyard and some chickens. They live in a beautiful old, HUGE farm house in a small village. The cielings are high and there are a bunch of nooks and crannies all over the house. It has been in the family a long time. They have four kids, one of which is home. Sabine is 16 and seems to be nice and very happy that I can speak French. They have hosted at least 5 people before and I guess they all spoke English only and developed their French as they were in Suisse. The father, who doesn't speak any English was very excited that I speak French, but seems to have a short patientce when I speak with him. At least I am making an effort. They have a huge garden and backyard that I will take pictures and post later on. For now, it's time for dinner so à l'attaque!

I like how the Swiss counterpart doesn't have a name!
